In Turkey’s growing mural and street art scene, few artists have embraced technology as boldly as Stak NMC. Known for his commercial murals, personal projects, and an active presence on social media.
As one of the early adopters of VR for mural art, Stak uses Sketchar not only to work faster, but also to communicate better with clients, boost his social media presence, and create high-quality murals without relying on projectors or grids. His approach places him among the innovators who are redefining how street art and commercial mural work are created today.
For artists wondering whether VR and AR drawing tools are genuinely practical—or just another hype cycle—Stak’s experience offers a clear and pragmatic look at how these tools reshape real-world production.

1. Can you share how your creative process has evolved since you started drawing with VR using Sketchar — from the first idea to bringing your murals to life on real walls?
Stak: The first thing I do is design the idea on my tablet and show it to the client. After receiving approval, I prepare my materials and head to the project location. Wherever there’s enough light, I quickly transfer the sketch to the wall using Sketchar.
2. Many mural artists still rely on projectors or grid methods. What made you switch to AR drawing with Sketchar, and what are the biggest advantages you’ve noticed?
Stak: Since I started using Sketchar, I’ve been finishing my work much faster. Using this technology also creates a positive impression on my clients. I can record videos while working, and these videos have significantly increased the visibility of my work on social media.
The process itself becomes content. The ability to capture VR-aided sketching as short, eye-catching videos often results in viral visibility — and that visibility doesn’t only boost the artist, it amplifies the client’s brand as well. Every mural becomes both a physical artwork and a piece of high-performing digital media. In today’s attention-driven world, that’s a game-changing advantage for anyone investing in creative work.

3. You mentioned that Sketchar helps you show clients how the artwork will look on the wall before painting begins. How does this VR graffiti approach change the collaboration process?
Stak: Before I start painting, I can give the client an amazing preview through the headset. I show them how the final artwork will look on the wall and how it appears from different angles in the space.
I’ve always received positive reactions from clients — they love this experience.
4. When working on commercial murals, how does Sketchar help you save time or improve accuracy compared to traditional techniques?
Stak: Sketching on the wall while wearing the headset is faster than any other method. It requires far less effort than gridding or doodling. And unlike a projector, it doesn’t need darkness. I can draw quickly at any time of day. I don’t have to worry about nighttime sketching anymore.

5. Where do you see the future of mural art heading as more artists start drawing with VR and integrating apps like Sketchar into their workflow?
Stak: As more artists start using this technology, the work will progress faster and production will increase.
The more art we produce, the faster our careers grow.
